## Reserva Natural Jardín de Rocas

## Best Time to Visit
**4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.** This is lek hour — the courtship ritual where males gather to sing and display their plumage for the females. The show lasts about an hour and is when you’re guaranteed the most activity.
There are also early morning sightings (6:00–7:00 AM), though with fewer individuals.

## How Many Will You See?
The number varies by season:
– **Late and early year (October to March):** peak activity season. You can spot between 10 and 25 males at the lek. This is the best time.
– **Mid-year (April to September):** nesting season. Between 1 and 5 individuals are seen. They still come, but fewer of them.
**Is the sighting guaranteed?** Yes. The reserve confirms that the birds come every day, even when it rains.

From Jardín’s main square, the reserve is about 10–15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by motorcycle/car. It’s close to Hotel Plantación.
