## Morning: Breakfast, Coffee & the Main Square
### Breakfast at Plantación Cocina (7:00 – 10:00 AM)

### Coffee at Café Macanas (10:00 – 11:00 AM)
A few blocks from the main square, this is one of Jardín’s most iconic cafés. The yellow house with its famous flower wall is a must-stop. Order the gulupa milkshake (everyone’s favorite) or a specialty coffee from the region. The pastries are excellent — the blueberry muffins and milhoja never disappoint.

### Parque Principal El Libertador (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
The heart of Jardín. Sit on one of the benches, admire the Basílica de la Inmaculada Concepción, watch the comings and goings of the locals, and take in the well-preserved colonial architecture. This is the center of the town’s social life — cafés, shops, and restaurants surround the plaza.

## Midday: Lunch & a Walk
### Lunch at Café Europa de Jardín (12:30 – 2:00 PM)
The best pizza in Jardín, according to locals and visitors alike. Right on the main square, with a good wine selection and a relaxed atmosphere. The margherita and the French pizza are the favorites. Perfect for a long lunch with a view of the park.
**Alternative:** If you prefer something more local, Truchera Montemar has one dish and it’s a sure bet: fried trout with patacón, salad, and guandolo (a traditional drink made with panela, herbs, and lime).
### Hike to Mirador Cristo Rey (2:30 – 4:00 PM)
This is a must-do. The viewpoint offers one of the best panoramic views of Jardín and the surrounding valley. It’s about a 20-minute uphill walk from town. At the top, there’s delicious traditional food — the yuca arepas and grilled plantain with cheese come highly recommended.

## Afternoon: Birds, Gelato & Crafts
### Reserva Natural Jardín de Rocas (4:30 – 5:30 PM)
**The best time to see the Andean cock-of-the-rock is from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.** That’s when the males sing and display their plumage for the females — a spectacle of color and sound rarely seen elsewhere in Colombia. The reserve is just a few minutes from town.
### Gelato at Cocoa Café Francés (5:30 – 6:00 PM)
Authentic gelato recipe with local flavors and freshly made cones. Perfect for the walk back to the center.
### Crafts (6:00 – 6:30 PM)
If you’d like to take a piece of Jardín home, stop by **Asimétrico Tienda Artesanal** or **Artesanías Don Quijote**, both near the main square.

### Dinner at Rosalía de Jardín (7:00 – 9:00 PM)
A bistro featuring local ingredients, shareable plates, and great cocktails. There’s live music in the evenings and an atmosphere that invites you to linger. The ideal way to end the day with a wonderful dinner.
**Casual alternative:** Raíces Jardín has the best gourmet burgers in town — order the potato milhoja on the side.
